Bukenya Micheal (King Tyga)
A well-known deejay in Uganda, Bukenya Michael (King Tyga), also works in video production and music distribution.
As is the case with many African children, Bukenya grew up in a challenging environment, hustling for his own survival as a young boy. Sleeping on the streets of Kampala for seven years was the hardest part of his life, but it never stopped him from aiming at his dream of becoming one of the most popular deejays in Africa.
King Tyga, as he is now known, hails from Masaka Misenyi Lwengo, and he is one of the fastest-rising Ugandan deejays. His versatility is evidenced by his ventures in videography and other musical projects, including promotion and distribution.
The young Deejay mainly developed his talents when still in the streets of Kampala. He attended only
primary level schooling, which he never completed. He attended Promise Primary school in Kireka, only reaching Primary Four.
As Head of Media at Serve A Smile Foundation, Bukenya is responsible for developing, designing, producing, editing and directing media projects and distribution-related activities.
